The Welch-Dickey trail is extremely popular due to it's relatively easy access to fine views. The trail varies through shady hardwood forests to open expansive views. I the summer, wild bluberries can be picked as you approach the summit. There is some rock scrambling required along this trail, so come prepared with appropriate footwear. Red Mountain Trailhead
The Red Mountain Trailhead is a five-acre signed site which includes a restroom, hitching rack, registration box, visitor information, fire rings and picnic tables.
This trailhead provides access to the Catpaw Lake (#142), Red Mountain (#143), Kirkham Ridge (#144) and Clear Creek (#145) trails.
All trailheads have space for parking.
Tyndall / Vulcan Trailhead
The Tyndall / Vulcan Trailhead is a three-acre site with restroom and 5 dispersed campsites. It serves the Vulcan Hot Springs (#072), Tyndall Creek (#107) and Wewukiye (#252) trails.
Upper Bear Summit Trailhead
The Upper Bear Summit Trailhead is a signed site that includes an information kiosk and a loading/unloading ramp for animals.
It serves Bear Summit (#286) and Bear Summit West (#288) trails.

Cow Creek Floatboat Access
The Cow Creek Floatboat Access provides a site to launch rafts into the South Fork Boise River. It has a restroom, parking area and information kiosk.
