Fuller Mill Creek - National Wild & Scenic River

This 3.5 mile wild and scenic river system finds its source on the heights of San Jacinto Peak in the Mount San Jacinto State Game Preserve and Wilderness Area. Fuller Mill Creek Picnic Area

Plenty of shade, nice beautiful area on a hot day. Note: Fuller Mill Creek is closed to public access within 10 feet of the creek by Forest Order to protect the mountain yellow-legged frog, between March and October. Picnicking is allowed year round.

Fullerton Lake Recreation Complex, Camping/Day Use

G. Rocky Point River Access

Rocky Point River Access has a gravel ramp to the water's edge but parking here is limited. There is an information board with current info on campfire permits and fire restrictions for the area. Interpretive signs are installed and the Forest Service provides a portable toilet here in summer months. *As of August 15th, 2023 this campground is closed due to wildfire activity* 

Gabaldon Horse Camp

Gabaldon Campground is situated amid spruce trees at the foot of the Mount Baldy Wilderness. The campground is named for Juan Gabaldon, who retired from the Forest Service after working on many of the trails in the area. The campground is a perfect spot to relax after a day's ride. This campground is limited to campers with horses or stock animals.

Gabe's Peak Trailhead

The Gabe's Peak Trailhead includes a hitching rack and a loading/unloading ramp for animals. Update:  6-20-2015 Gabe’s Peak Trail is not well defined. Not recommended unless you are a very advanced trail hiker.

Gaggs Camp Campground

Gale River Trailhead

This 4 mile trail parallels Gale River before climbing steeply to access the Garfield Ridge trail approximately one half mile west of Galehead Hut. Gale River trail affords the most direct route to Galehead Hut.

Gallinas Campground - Upper

Upper Gallinas Campground provides easy access to New Mexico Hwy 152 and is nicely developed. It is located on NM State Hwy 152, approximately 37 miles east of Silver City. The site is easily accessed by most vehicles, in most weather conditions.
