Headquarters East TH

This trailhead is the eastern-most point of the Headquarters National Recreation Trail. Access to the Summit, Tie City and Happy Jack trail systems. There are horse corrals and stock only camping located right across the road. Large parking area for ATV and horse trailers. No overnight camping in the parking area, but you can dispersed camp along FR 707 and 707.D nearby. No water or toilets nearby.

Headwaters Wilderness

Officially designated as a wilderness in 1984, this 18,000 plus acre wilderness is located 16 miles southeast of Eagle River, Wis. in Forest County. Heart Lake Fishing Site

Heart Lake Fishing Site, 35 minutes southwest of Bly, Oregon, is a popular fishing area in a secluded mixed conifer forest setting. This clear blue lake is stocked with Kokanee and rainbow trout. It is also a great place to bike, boat (electric motors only, and a 5 mph speed limit), day hike, picnic, and swim. Heavens Gate Overlook

This overlook is thought by many to be the best view into Hells Canyon from Idaho. It is the highest viewpoint on the Idaho side at an elevation of 8429 feet. From this point, in addition to Hells Canyon, you also have a wonderful view of the Seven Devils Mountains. This area also has campgrounds and the main trailhead for the Seven Devils trail system is located at Windy Saddle.

Heber-Kamas Ranger District

This Ranger District is fast becoming a four-season destination. The mountainous terrain and abundant lakes invite visitors to hike, camp, fish, ride mountain bikes, backpack and ride off-highway vehicles in the summer. During the winter, the quality snow draws legions of backcountry skiers, dog sledders and snowmobilers.
