Buffalo Pass Campground
The campground is comprised of a single large loop, surrounded by a grass meadow in a Ponderosa Pine grove. There are 19 sites, 4 are pull-through. The sites are large and well-spaced with sites #16, 17 and 18 on a dead-end spur with no turn around. The open areas are dotted with wildflowers. The campground is conveniently situated to State Hwy 114 for an overnight stay.

Buffalo Peaks Wilderness, encompassing 41,232 acres, was congressionally designated in 1993. It get its name from the 13,000-foot Buffalo Peaks located 15 miles southwest of Fairplay, Colorado. Buffalo Springs Campground
Buffalo Springs Campground is located 12.5 miles south of Fairplay on Forest System Road 431. It has 18 campsites with parking spurs 24-40 feet and a maximum trailer length of 30 feet. At an elevation is 9,000 feet, its facilities include toilets, tables, water and fire rings. Buffalo Springs Campground is an ideal setting for biking, hiking, horseback riding and rock climbing.

Bull Bend Campground
The access road is gravel/dirt you may want to drive slowly if you are in an RV or trailer, but your short drive off the road will be worthwhile. The campground is located on about 10 acres of land that is almost totally surrounded by the Deschutes River. The sites are large enough for the biggest RV or longest trailer, and this area is well loved by anglers.
Bull Canyon Overlook Interpretive Site
Bull Canyon is a dinosaur track site and scenic overlook of beautiful Bull Canyon and Fisher Mesa.
