The Cabin Trail #606 is a two-track for the entire distance and is used as a connecting route between the Big Creek Road, FSR #403 and the Rim Road, FSR #416.  Motorized travel may be restricted due to spring run off or adverse weather conditions. Cabin City Campground

Cabin Creek / Thunderbolt Trailhead

The Cabin Creek / Thunderbolt Trailhead is a small, signed site with no amenities.  FS Trails served are #086 and #091.

Cabin Creek Airfield Camping Area

Located within the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness area.  This is a wilderness airstrip.  DO NOT attempt to land at Cabin Creek until you have received instruction on the proper approach. This is a one-way airstrip with no chance of a go-around maneuver.   This basic information is not sufficient to cover all the hazards associated with these backcountry airstrips.

Cabin Creek Campground

Cabin Creek Campground, located the West Mountains along the Middle Fork of the Weiser River, is divided into two loops. The north loop contains 12 campsites. The south loop (opening in late June 2025) contains six equestrian-themed campsites, though they are available for use by any visitor on a first-come, first-served basis. Cabin Creek Picnic Ground

Cabin Creek Picnic Ground is located off U.S. Highway 14, the Bighorn Scenic Byway. Four picnic tables are nestled in a wooded setting with a small creek flowing through the site. Wildflower-strewn meadows are nearby.

Cabin Creek Trailhead

This trailhead is located in the Snake River Canyon, off of Highway 89 south of Hoback Junction. The trailhead itself is a few hundred feet down a very rough dirt road that requires 4 wheel drive and high clearance. Cabin Flat Campground (Hike-in Campground)

Cabin Flat Campground is open year-round. However, it is hike-in only from early-November to late-April through June due to seasonal closures of Blue Ridge Road (Forest Service Road 3N06). However, the road between Lupine and Cabin Flat is severely overgrown and very hard to follow to get to this campground. No maintenance of facilities will happen until the road reopens.

Cabin Lake Viewing Blind

Two 8' x 12' covered shelters, approximately 300' apart on a north-south line, permit silent human observers to spy upon thirsty animals. Cabin Ridge Picnic Area

Situated along the Rampart Range Road south of Highway 67, this picnic area has ten (10) units with picnic tables, fire rings and a vault toilet.

Cabin Ridge Trailhead

Situated along the Rampart Range Road south of Highway 67, the Cabin Ridge Trailhead is located southeast of the Cabin Ridge Picnic Area. Cabin Ridge Trailhead accesses Cabin Ridge Trail (#675).

Cabin Trailhead

Roadside parking is available across the street from the trailhead. Take care not to block driveways when parking.

Cabinet Fitness and Ski Trailhead #900

Cabinet Ski and Fitness Trail #900 is a one-mile valley bottom trail that is in close proximity to the town of Trout Creek offering quick and easy recreation/fitness opportunities. There are no stream crossings.

Cable Cove Recreation Area

This area offers hiking with boating access on Fontana Lake. Cable Cove is 4 miles from Fontana Dam and the Appalachian Trail. The campground and restrooms are closed.

Cable Creek Fish Pass Wildlife Viewing Site

A 300-foot boardwalk leads visitors to the Cable Creek Fish Pass providing viewing of the prolific salmon run during late summer and fall. Special Features: The trail was constructed as a Youth Conservation Corps project during the mid-1980's. It leads hikers through a spruce hemlock forest to Cable Creek, where a fish pass was designed to extend salmon habitat in the creek. The salmon run attracts abundant wildlife…

Cable Mountain Campground

Cable Mountain Campground is located on 5 wooded acres just three miles away from Georgetown Lake. This campsite has 11 camping units nestled along the North Fork of Flint Creek and offers plenty of shade. The site has an ADA-accessible toilet and water available. The recommended trailer length is no longer than 22 feet.

Cabresto Lake Campground

Surrounded by high peaks, this small campground of four semi-dispersed campsites at 9,500 feet overlooks the 15-acre Cabresto Lake from a level ridge at the head of a 4 mile trail to Heart Lake. One of the few places in New Mexico for catching brook trout.

Cache Bar Boat Ramp

Cache Bar is the primary take-out ramp for rafters leaving the Middle Fork of the Salmon River.
