Caney Lakes Unit
The Caney Lakes Unit has much to offer its visitors from the National Sugar Cane Recreation Trail to two completely different lake types to choose from for recreation. Both the Upper and Lower Caney Lakes are beautiful and have much to offer.
Caney Ranger District
The Caney Ranger District encompasses over 32,000 acres and is divided into three units; Caney Lakes (north of Minden), Middle Fork (northeast of Homer), and Corney Lake (near Summerfield).
Canjilon Lakes Campground
Located in a picturesque setting of three lakes and a meandering stream. Forest Road 129 (Alkali Spring Rd.) is closed to motorized travel Jan. 1 - Apr. 30.
Canjilon Lakes Fishing
Several small lakes between two and six acres in size east of the town of Canjilon. Good fishing for rainbow trout.

Cannon Beach Group Picnic Site
The second of the two Cannon located at the Beach is an old WWII era cannons set along the beach. This site is vehicle accessible and has a picnic table.

Canyon Dam Boat Launch
The Canyon Dam Boat Launch and Day Use Area is located near the southeast corner of Lake Almanor. It is administered by the Lassen National Forest. This is also the southern terminus of the Lake Almanor Recreation Trail, an 11 mile non-motorized trail.
Future temporary closures may occur for additional tree removal and planned dock repairs.
