Thank you for using TwoTrails and reviewing our privacy statement. When you use this application no personal identifiable information (PII) is collected or sent to the US Forest Service (USFS) or third parties.

Anonymous Usage Information

When using the application, we may collect anonymous usage information for the purpose of improving the experience of all users.

Information we collect:

  • Crash and Error information
  • Application Pages you visit
  • Country
  • Device Model
  • OS version
  • Application version
  • Device Language
  • Application session length

You can disable anonymous usage data collection in the settings page of the application.

Device Permissions

  • Location: The internal GPS is used in a service to collect location data for the use of point creation and navigation within the program.
  • Background Location: This is used when collecting point data or navigating while the screen is off or another application is in the foreground.
  • Bluetooth: The Bluetooth permission is required for connecting external GPS/GNSS and RangeFinder devices to the application for data collection and navigation purposes.
  • Camera: The camera permission is used to collect images using the internal image capture tool.
  • Storage: The external storage permission is used when syncing projects, exports and logs between the application and device storage.

Google Play Store

In addition to anonymous usage information collected by us in the app we also receive aggregate data about the use of our apps from the Google Play store, such as number of users that have installed our application, device model, app version, language, and mobile carrier. Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA)

COPPA applies to the online collection of personal information from children under age 13. This application complies with COPPA and does not knowingly collect personal information about children.
