The Trail Creek Trailhead is a small trailhead on the east side of Colorado State Highway 125. The trail starts on the west side of the highway.
Trail Creek Trailhead
This trailhead is located on Highway 93, west of Carter Meadows Summit.
Leaving the trailhead, Trail #5521 follows the Trail Creek drainage and meets the Pacific Crest Trail. The PCT goes southeast toward Carter Meadows Summit, or north into the Russian Wilderness.
Trail Creek Trailhead
The trailhead is located immediately east of Boundary Campground and Picnic Area. It serves the Trail Creek Tr. No. 305 and the Corral Creek Tr. No. 325. The trails are also accessable from pull-offs along Trail Creek Road. Vault toilets and drinking water are available in the picnic area. Please keep dogs on leash within the developed area.

The trailhead has a small parking area and a trailhead information kiosk. The trail provides access to the Trinity Alps Wilderness, with a lake basin on the north side of the Scott Mountains divide, and multiple trail options in the Coffee Creek watershed on the south side of the divide. Another option is a loop hike with the Long Gulch trail.
