Gray Copper Gulch #889

Gray Copper Trail #889 begins at the end of Forest Service Road #887 and ends at the Vernon Mine on Forest Service Road #887. This pristine and historic trail is in Gray Copper Gulch and parallels Gray Copper Creek for its entire length. The Gray’s Creek Trail #157 begins at the end of Forest Service Road 402.8F and ends at an intersection with the Parallel Trail #139. The trail heads south, paralleling Divide Road, for about 1.8 miles before it turns east/northeast. Gray's Peak Group Campground

Gray's Peak Group Campground is located 45 miles outside San Bernardino, at an elevation of 7,132 feet. There are also, hiking and biking opportunities nearby. Butler Peak Fire Lookout is close by. Grayling Campground

Situated in the mixed conifer and aspen, Grayling Campground offers perhaps the most secluded sites in the Big Lake complex. It sits on the shoreline of the lake in a mixed conifer and aspen forest and affords visitors many recreational opportunities in a quiet, scenic setting. Grays Gulch Trailhead #756

Grays Gulch Trail #756 starts at Big Beaver Creek and closely follows Grays Gulch and ends on FSR 2735. Be advised that FSR 2735 is closed yearlong to motorized travel. Motorized vehicles: Motorcycle use is allowed on Grays Gulch Trail #756. However motorized use is prohibited on FSR 2735. The trail crosses Grays Gulch towards the bottom of the trail.

Grays Peak Trailhead

Grays Peak Trailhead is a popular trailhead located south of Bakerville. It provides access to the Grays Peak Trail (#54) and Torreys. Due to high elevation, the area is not generally snow-free until late June or even July in some years. The road typically isn't plowed, so early and late season conditions my require hiking from the parking area off I-70. The Continental Divide Trail is accessible from this trail.

Great Bear Wilderness

The Great Bear Wilderness is part of the Bob Marshall Wilderness complex.  It borders Glacier National Park, the Hungry Horse Reservoir and Spotted Bear Ranger District.  The Middle Fork of the Flathead River flows through this rugged and remote area.

Great Brook Trailhead

The Great Brook Trailhead is 100 yds. beyond Miles Notch parking. This trail is low use and accesses the Red Rock Trail, which leads to the summit of Speckled Mountain (2,906 ft.).

Great Gulf Wilderness Trailhead

From this trailhead you can access much of the Great Gulf Wilderness Area. The Great Gulf trail follows the West Branch of the Peabody River through the Great Gulf Wilderness, climbing the steep and rough headwall, and ends at the junction with the Gulfside Trail 0.5 mi. below the summit of Mt. Green Cabin Flat Campground

Undeveloped camping area on the wild and scenic Kings River. This area is secluded and requires significant travel time to visit Giant sequoia trees. Whitewater rafting down to Pine Flat Reservoir, with up to Class III rapids. Food storage rules apply in black bear country. Check current fire restrictions before venturing out.
