The Green Cove Pond is managed by the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency (TWRA). Anglers can fish 7 trouts per day with no length limit and each angler is permitted only one rod or pole.

Green Creek Campground is located alongside Green Creek and is noted for excellent fishing opportunities. Aspens and pine trees provide good shade for campsites. Trailhead for the Hoover Wilderness. This trail follows a ridge line to the Green Knob Lookout Tower at 5,090 feet. The trail is very steep and gets rocky so some minor scrambling is required. The trail provides amazing views of this beautiful mountainous region. After 2.8 miles the trail reaches the Green Knob Lookout Tower on the right side.
