Johnson Guard Station

Johnson Guard Station is located 30 miles east of Soda Springs, Idaho, on a site that was established in 1910. The current building was constructed in 1934, and is named after James J. Johnson, who served as ranger of the Georgetown Ranger District from 1907-1913. It's been used for various purposes over the years, from serving as summer headquarters to housing work crews. Johnson Mesa Campground

Johnson Mesa is a dispersed camping area located east of Las Vegas on NM 65 and FR 153.  Facilities: vaulted toilets, tables and grills. NO potable water available. This recreation site and its surroundings were burned in the 2022 Hermits Peak/Calf Canyon Fire. Use of this site is not recommended. Exercise extreme caution and pay attention to the weather to avoid flash flood danger.

Johnson Pass North Trailhead

This trailhead offers ample parking along the long driveway into the trailhead at milepost 64 of the Seward Highway.  Please do not park in the turnaround nearest the outhouse as trailered rigs use this space to turn their vehicle around. Johnsondale Bridge River Access Boating Site

This site can be utilized for white water boating access, picnicking, and hiking. At about 19 miles north of Kernville via Mountain Highway 99, this site offers a great river hiking trail and boating access. The Kern River Trail (33E30) offers a great day hike with seasonal fishing access.

Johnsons Hunting Ground Trailhead

This trailhead accesses the western side of the Marble Mountain Wilderness.  The 5213 trail follows Titus Ridge into the Tickner Creek drainage.  It is possible to loop around to the Granite Lakes, Ukonom Lake and several other  alpine lakes in the area.

Jones Beach Picnic and River Access

Jones Crossing Campground

Located 25 minutes south of Paisley, Oregon, Jones Crossing is a rustic and popular forest camp located right on the free-flowing Chewaucan River. Some juniper and ponderosa pines dot the camp, offering shade. There are eight spacious campsites each campsite features a picnic table and fire grate, and there is one vault toilet. There no potable water. Visitors need to pack plenty of water.

Jones Valley Inlet Shoreline Campground
