The Juniper Flat OHV recreation area is a popular destination for off road riders from the Yreka, Weed and Mt Shasta Areas. It is located in the Shasta Valley in a flat area of sandy soils and lava flows amidst juniper and sage vegetation. Juniper Mesa Wilderness
Established in 1984, the 7,554 acre wilderness is characterized by the flat topped mesa from which its name is derived. Elevations range from 5,600 feet on the southwest side near Juniper Spring to 7,000 feet on the west side near George Wood Canyon and Gobblers Knob. Juniper Point Picnic Area
Juniper Point is a picnic area located on the north side of Big Bear Lake. Amenities include restrooms, parking lot and vehicle access to the Alpine Pedal Path. It is a day use area only. The paved Alpine Pedal Path runs through the picnic area. It is excellent walk or ride along this paved path along north shore of Big Bear Lake.
