Lone Rock Campground

Nearby communities such as Taylorsville, Greenville, Janesville, Milford and Susanville are the closest places for ice and other supplies before you travel up the hill.  Wood is for sale within campgrounds. Lonesome Lake TH #2126

The Lonesome Lake trail begins at Homestake Road #703 and ends at Lonesome Lake: This is a long but relatively gentle climb through woods and occasional large meadows up a mountain-walled glacial valley to Lonesome Lake. The trail can be faint in some of the meadow sections.

Long Canyon #621

The Lone Canyon Trial #621 travels through vegetation and the terrain that varies throughout the trail. The vegetation along the trail includes; oakbrush, pinyon and juniper, spruce and fir, and aspens. Long Draw Campground

Long Draw Campground is situated near Long Draw Reservoir. Long Draw has 25 sites including three double sites. Each site has a picnic table and fire grate.

Long Draw North Trailhead

The Long Draw North Trailhead is located at the Chevelon Crossing Campground, providing adequate room for parking and staging. Camping is available when weather allows and vault toilets are available during warmer months. From the campground, the trail follows FR 504 North for approximately 1 mile to FR 169 where the trail then veers south onto the FR 169.

Long Draw Parking (Winter) Trailhead

In snowy months, Long Draw Road is closed. But, this is a popular area for snowmobiles. Be aware that other winter activities take place here, including cross country skiing and snowshoeing.

Long Fork Silver Creek / Bitter Creek Trailhead

The Long Fork Silver Creek / Bitter Creek Trailhead has one big parking area with 2 sign boards serving 2 separate trails.

Trailhead is off of Forest Rd. 39N08 several miles west of Carter Summit.  Trailhead provides access to Trinity Alps Wilderness, with loop hikes (Long Gulch Trail and Trail Gulch Trail) and longer hikes southwards into the Shasta-Trinity National Forest portion of the Trinity Alps possible.

Long Lake

  Long Lake is a 13-acre 58-foot deep, clear water lake located at an elevation of 3,237 feet. This is a non-motorized fly fishing only lake. Fry-planted Cutthroat Trout should yield 7-12 inch catches, especially by fall. There is a boat launch and Forest Service Campground along the northeastern shoreline.
