The Noble Canyon trail is 4 miles long. It begins at Hwy 4 Near Silver Creek Campground Sec 33 and ends at Pct 21999 Sec 21. Access to the Pacific Crest Trail and the Mokelumne Wilderness. Generally open May to October as weather and conditions allow.  

This beautiful recreation area was built in the late 1930s by men employed by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC).  It is a popular picnic, boating, and fishing site.  Several scenic hiking routes have trailheads near Noblett Lake. The Nooya Lake shelter is a 3-sided shelter located on the edge of Nooya Lake. The shelter is within the Misty Fjords National Monument Wilderness and offers stunning views and opportunities for wildlife observation. This shelter is located in the flight seeing path of floatplanes so there may be heavy daytime plane traffic from May through August.

The Nooya Lake trail is 0.9 miles long. It begins at the edge of Nooya Estuary and ends at Nooya Lake. The first 3/4 mile of the trail is constructed of rustic boardwalk and natural tread. The last quarter mile is natural tread that rises steeply to the lake’s outlet. A 3-sided shelter is present at the trails end that is available on a first come, first serve basis.

Overview The Norbeck Overlook is located on Iron Mountain southeast of Mount Rushmore National Memorial. The overlook provides a view of Mount Rushmore from a distance of approximately one mile. To access the overlook from Keystone, drive west on Highway 244 to the junction with US Highway 16A. Travel south on 16A for approximately four miles.

The trailhead is up Forest Road 10N10Y from Forest Highway 93, northwest (down river) from Forks of Salmon. The trailhead accesses Trail #5438, following along the Nordheimer Creek drainage toward Horn Creek Gap.
