Oak Bottom River Access
The Oak Bottom River Access, located directly across from the campground, provides access to the Salmon River which is renowned for it's class 3-5 whitewater. The lower portion of the Salmon offers excellent swimming and tubing opportunities. Additional river accesses include Brannon's Bar, George Geary, and Blue Hole.

Oak Flat Campground
Oak Flat Campground is located on the northwest side of the forest with easy access off the I-5 freeway. With 20 campsites, grab the family and spend the weekend roasting marshmallows around the campfire, go on a hike to Whitaker Peak, or hop in your vehicle for a short drive to the cool waters of Piru Creek at Frenchman's Flat. Campsites are first come - first served. Reserving or holding of sites not allowed.

Oak Flat Lookout/cabin
Access via Rancheria Rd., located in the Greenhorn Mtns offers rustic camping in the tower and below the tower. This lookout was once used by the Forest Service to spot fires, and can now be rented for $75 a night. It offers incredible views of the surrounding mountains, and is great for stargazers.

Oak rimmed native grasslands. Bounded by the Verdugo Trail to the north, the Bluewater Trail on the east and the Lucas Canyon Trail on the west, scenic Oak Flats is a good destination for a long (11.8 miles) round trip from Bear Canyon Trailhead. West end landlocked.

Oak Hill Campground
The new campground is beautifully designed with 27 RV (includes Pine Knob Loop) sites and one group site (Two Points Group Camp). All campsites are fully accessible with water and electrical hook-ups. Two new flush restrooms with showers and one new vault restroom were installed. Campsites 2, 11, 19, 20, and 21 are not reservable. The sites have been designated for hosts or volunteers.
