Sacramento Lookout, a CL-100 series built in 1968 for the US Forest Service, is located on the Sacramento Ranger District. Sacramento is a 14’ X 14’ live in cab sitting on a 62 foot high steel tower. The Sacramento Lookout on a clear day, affords a grand view all the way into Mexico. Sacramento Lookout will become eligible for the National Register in 2018.

The Saddle Lake Recreation Area was one of four that was associated with flood control lakes built along the Middle Fork of the Anderson River. Saddle Lake once had a fully developed recreation area but now has only a primitive campground, a boat ramp for the lake and a hiking trail. Saddlebag Day Use Picnic/Fishing Site
Just east of Yosemite National Park, Saddlebag Lake is popular for day hikes, fishing and backpacking. A loop trail goes around the lake for fishing and hiking. There is also a water taxi from the marina at the Saddlebag Lake Resort that goes to the far end of the lake. Trails extend into what is commonly called the 20 Lakes Basin. Camping around Saddlebag Lake is limited to the campground near the resort.
