Visitors who choose to recreate on these public lands find 164,000 miles of trails, over 30,000 recreation sites, over 5,000 miles of streams and 3 million acres of lakes, 127 alpine ski areas, 338,000 heritage sites, and specially designated sites that include 37 million acres of designated wilderness areas, 130 wild and scenic rivers, 15 monuments, and one preserve. Hahns Peak Lake Eastside Picnic Site

The Eastside picnic site provides 4 tables near the shores of Hahns Peak Lake, across the lake from Hahns Peak Lake Campground. Trails to tables are accessible and covered pavilions and cooking grill are provided. Fishing, hiking and bird watching are available. Vault toilets and garbage services are offered. Haley's Ferry Boat Ramp: (409) 625-1940

Haley's Ferry boat ramp, located on the northern end of the 185,000-acre Toledo Bend Reservoir, is maintained and operated by the Sabine River Authority of Texas. Completed in 1996, this boat ramp offers access to the reservoir throughout the year. The reservoir is administrated by the Sabine River Authority of Texas and Louisiana.

Half Moon Lake

Half Moon Lake is a small 13.9 acre lake which lies northeast of Usk, WA. The lake is named for its distinctive half moon shape and is popular with fly fishing enthusiasts. Half Moon Lake Boating Site

Half Moon Boat Site has a paved ramp, which has been extended with rip rap for time periods of low water. A short dock is available along the ramp at this site. A Gravel parking lot is available for overnight and day use, with two single vault toilets.

Half Moon Lake Campground

Half Moon Lake Campground is situated just off the northeast shore of Half Moon Lake. Heavy willow stands provide excellent privacy between sites and an Aspen over-story provide shade among the 17 sites. Visitors enjoy water sports such as boating, swimming, canoeing and paddle boarding right from the beach within the campground. Half Moon Lake Trailhead

Half Moon Lake Trailhead is located approximately 11 miles from Pinedale and is a Low Use trail. The trail is an easy hike around the northern portion of the lake, then climbs to access other areas such as Fayette Lake and beyond into the Bridger Wilderness. The area has opportunities for easy day hikes around the lake and longer backpacking trips into the wilderness.

Halfmoon East Campground

Halfmoon East is a first-come, first-served campground, with five sites located off the Halfmoon Road (Forest Service Road 110) near the Mount Elbert and Mount Massive trailheads at 9,900 feet. This is a very popular campground for hikers. Facilities include picnic tables, fire rings with grates and vault toilets. High altitude sickness may occur at this altitude.

Halfmoon Lake

Roughly shaped like a half moon, this large lake sits just southeast of Forest Corners and has a private campground on one shore. Access is for boating and fishing. Boating and Fishing Fish from banks of the lake or jump in a canoe or kayak and get to deeper waters.

Halfway House Campground

Halfway House Campground rests in tall timber with a small creek running through. There are campsites with tables and fire rings. Stock facilities (feed bunk and loading ramp) are nearby. This is a popular access site into the Gospel Hump Wilderness Area via Crooked Creek Trail #215.

Halfway Picnic Area

Picnic area located almost ten miles from the start of Pikes Peak Highway. Multiple picnic tables and two vault toilet restrooms available.
