Roaring River Campground

CLOSED DUE TO RIVERSIDE FIRE Roaring River Campground is located across from the Wild and Scenic Clackamas River in the Cascade Range. The small, rustic campground has charm and provides visitors with access to a variety of outdoor recreation opportunities, including whitewater rafting.

Roaring River Group Campground

Campers at Roaring River Group Campground enjoy the soothing sounds of the aptly named Roaring River flowing past their campsites. Roaring River Wilderness

Designated in 2009, the 36,768-acre Roaring River Wilderness is the largest Wilderness in the Mt. Hood National Forest. Located in the Roaring River Valley, a tributary of the Clackamas River, the Wilderness is named after the Roaring River. Roaring Run Day Use Area

Roaring Run is a popular get-away for escaping the summer heat. It features shady picnic spots, a native trout stream and a 1 ½ -mile scenic loop trail that follows Roaring Run Creek to a cascading waterfall. History buffs will enjoy seeing the historic iron furnace that operated prior to the Civil War.

The Roatcap Trail #121 begins at Forest Service Road #542.1B, Roatcap Spur B Road and ends at Forest Service Road #542, Roatcap Road. This trail travels along the Roubideau Bench for its entire length just skirting the outside of the Roubideau Area on the eastern side of the canyon. The campground is comprised of a cascading, tight loop configuration along a hillside among mixed pines. Some sites overlook the Rob Roy Reservoir, but most are tucked into the hillside. Rob Roy Reservoir is 500 acres and is a popular area for boating and water skiing.  There are 65 sites that provide tables, fire rings, trash pick-up, and vault toilets. Robber's Roost Trailhead

Robber's Roost is a short loop trail which climbs up a canyon to a couple of caves. It then winds through a forest of pinion pines and mountain mahogany before returning back to the main trail. Robbers Roost Campground

The Robbers Roost Campground is located next to Hwy 40 and the Fraser River near Winter Park. There are 11 non-electric sites that will accommodate tents, trailers and RVs. Each site contains a tent pad, fire grate and picnic table. Additional facilities included restrooms and trash service. Water is available at the Idlewild Campground 5.5 miles away.

Robbins Pond Campground

This deep woods dispersed campground is located on Robbins Pond, a well known trout pond. It features three campsites and is located in the northeast corner of the Watersmeet Ranger District. Currently there are limited services provided at this campground.

Roberts Mountain Trailhead #407

Trail Length: 3.37 miles. Trail is maintained for hikers. Discourage the use of bicycles and pack & saddle. This trail is fairly steep; it travels through large douglas fir stands with several small clearings. Upper end of trail was burned over in 1996.

Roberts Tract Camping Area/Trailhead

Robin Run Trailhead #784

Robin Run Trail #784 is a relatively short trail that intersects the middle section of the more remote Trout Creek Recreation Trail #774. Once on Trail #774, multiple loop hiking opportunities exist. Robin Run Trail #784 crosses a couple small side streams that can be crossed all times of the year.

Robinson Creek South Campground is located just 9 miles from Bridgeport, California next to Robinson Creek at an elevation of 7,000 feet.
