Big Ridge Cutoff #2228

The Big Ridge Cutoff Trail is 2.7 miles long, beginning at Rio Blanco County Road 8 near the Lost Creek Ranger Station. It crosses the White River and then meanders up the side of Big Ridge until it meets the Big Ridge Trail #1821 at the top of the ridge. Big River Campground/Big River Group

Big Rock Campground

​This campground is named after one of the many large boulders dropped from the glaciers that shaped this region. Big Rock Campground has 28 wooded campsites and is a short distance from a number of nearby attractions including Otter Rocks, the Lincoln Woods Visitor Center, and many popular hiking trails along the Kancamagus Highway.

Big Rock Campground is open year-round and can be accessed from Forest Service Road 4N11. 4N11 is closed seasonally from beginning of May to mid-November. Big Rock Group Campground

Big Rock Group Campground is located in beautiful Huntington Canyon, along the Huntington Canyon National Scenic Byway on Utah Highway 31. It is situated at an elevation of 7,800 feet. Many recreational activities are available, including hiking, biking and fishing. Huntington Creek flows alongside the campground. Big Rock Loop TR 705

Big Rock Loop is 1.2 miles in length. It is blazed with Dark Green blazes. It is rated as a moderate trail. Hikers and mountain bikers are also allowed on this trail. You can also use this trail to get to the Nifty Rocks site. You have a view of the lake in the winter months.

Big Rocks 17E10

Length: 4 Miles. Big Rocks - 17E10. Blue diamond. More difficult. Open to Motorcycles/ATVS / 4WD. The trail is primarily used by 4x4s and ATVs. It is located on the main ridge top and intersects with the Jack Springs route.

Big Sandy Campground

Big Sandy Campground is a large sandy flat adjacent to Big Creek. Road access is paved and dirt. Total number of sites is 18.  Sites have grills, fire rings and tables. Some sites have shade. Drinking water is not provided.

Big Silver Group Campground

CAUTION: There are bears in the area. Please keep all foods, soaps, and garbage properly stored in bear boxes. Keep the gate closed or visitors will wander in. Gate combination will be issued when reservations are finalized. Check ahead. Campfires may not be allowed during fire restrictions.

Big South Campground

This is a small campground located adjacent to Highway 14 and the Cache La Poudre River near the Big South Trailhead. It is best suited for tent or small RV camping. There are four sites, each with a picnic table and fire ring.

Big South Trailhead (#944)

This trailhead access the Big South Trail. It is 10.4 miles one-way and enters the Comanche Peak Wilderness a half mile from the trailhead. The Flowers Trail (#939) intersects from the east shortly before the trail fords the Poudre River. Big Spring Campground

This campground is located in an open ponderosa pine forest and along a babbling creek.  The campsites vary in size significantly to accommodate many different group sizes.   Local ranchers will graze their cattle near the campground which means the cows can often be seen or heard in camp.

Big Spring Picnic Site

The Big Spring Picnic Site is located off of the Big Spring Scenic Backway, Forest Road #10062, at the feature point for this scenic drive. A short walk takes visitors up close to the beautiful Big Spring coming out of the hillside, creating a small cascading fall. Picnic tables, benches, and fire rings are available at the site.
