Upper Fir Group Campground

The Upper Fir Group Campground offers reservation-only camping for groups up to 120 people. Covered pavilion, 12 tables, two fire rings, toilet, drinking hydrant, and garbage depositories are provided. These units are available by reservation only. RV limited to 30 feet. Upper Ford Ranger Station Cabin

This remote rangers cabin was built in 1926 and was at the heart of the Upper Ford Ranger District until 1942 when it was combined with the Yaak Ranger District and became a remote work center. By 1966 the last permanent resident abandoned the site due to sewer problems. This cabin contains 900 square feet, and sleeps 9 comfortably with room for extra supplies. Upper Fremont Lake Boating Site

This boat ramp is located within the Fremont Lake Campground. Onsite you will find a fishing pier, a dock, double vault toilet, and drinking water. Due to limited space, parking is limited to campground guests. Day users and other overnight users may park at the Lower Fremont Boat Site.

Upper Goliath Trailhead

The Upper Goliath Trailhead is located within the Mount Blue Sky Recreation Area, south of the Mount Goliath Natural Area. It provides many summer recreation opportunities, including the Alpine Gardens Loop Trail (#49) and the M. Walter Pesmen Trail (#50).

Upper Gray Rock Lake

Upper Grays Meadow Campground

Located 6 miles west of Independence, along Onion Valley Road. Campground has 35 campsites, some first-come, first-serve may be available; vault toilets. Sites up to 40 feet long.

Upper Gros Ventre Corridor

Upper Hazard Lake Trailhead

Access to Upper Hazard Lake from the north. Upper Hazard/Hard Creek Basin Trail #169 is open to motorcycles. The area is popular for hiking, mountain bikes and motorcycles. The trailhead is just south of the Hazard Lake Campground.

Upper Hell Hole Campground

This facility is only accessible by boat or trail. Location: 22 miles east of Georgetown on Wentworth Springs Road, and 29 miles northeast on Forest Highway 2 (Eleven Pines road) to Hell Hole Reservoir, then 3 miles southeast by boat or hiking trail.

Upper Hoback Trailhead

The Upper Hoback Trailhead begins at the end of Upper Hoback Road. The Grizzly Creek and Upper Hoback River Trails both begin from the trailhead.

Upper Hospital Flat Dispersed Camping Area

Upper Joes Valley Dispersed Site

Upper Joes Valley is located at ~7340' elevation, just south of the intersection of Millers Flat Road and Lowry Water Road. Upper Jones Valley Campground

This facility is used on an "as needed basis" by the Shasta Recreation Company (Concessionaire to the Forest Service). There are 8 camping sites that can accommodate a trailer with an average max. size of 16'.  All sites have a picnic table, campfire ring, and an unpaved parking spur.

Upper Juan Miller Campground

Less than 2 miles from US Highway 191, this lightly used campground is shaded by large Gambel oak and sycamore trees. The area provides camping, water play, and wildlife viewing.

Upper Karr Recreation Area

Upper Karr Canyon Campground is located off of NM6563 (the Sunspot Scenic Byway) and has a 200 person capacity. There are 2 fire rings, 1 toilet, and garbage depositories are provided. RVs limited to 16'. 

Upper Kiamichi River Wilderness

10,819 acres featuring prominent steeply sloped ridges heavily forested with a variety of species.

Upper Kings Group Campground

Located at the base of Wishon Reservoir Dam on the Upper Kings River, Upper Kings River Group Campground offers camping for up to 50 people. There is a large cooking area with tables and grills. Opportunities for fishing and swimming are nearby. Campground host is on site. Access is paved and dirt. This is a PG&E facility. This is bear country.  Please use food storage boxes and don't feed the bears. 

Upper La Junta Campground

8 units with fishing access.  Popular with motorcylists.  

Upper Labyrinth (#4424)

Located just south of Atwood Road in Klickitat County, Upper Labyrinth Trail connects to Desert Parsley Trail to the east, leading to the Catherine Creek Area. To the west, it links up with Labyrinth Trail, providing spectacular views of the eastern Gorge. 

Upper Lagunitas / Lower Lagunitas Campgrounds

12 campsites at 10,400' in Upper and Lower Lagunitas areas are adjacent to breath-taking Cruces Basin.
