Threats
- Loss of habitat from changes in timing and magnitude of stream flows, related to dams, urbanization, and recreational fisheries
- Trampling by livestock and recreationists
- Competition from aggressive weeds
- Low reproductive rate
- Increased vulnerability to stochastic events because of small, scattered colonies
