Portugese Overlook Observation Site
This stop is at Portuguese Creek right at the timberline. To the north are several great glacier carved granite domes. To the south is an expansive vista of Shuteye Ridge and Chiquito basin in a lodgepole pine and red fir forest. Red fir is also known as the Silver Tip Christmas tree because of the silver appearance of the new needles. Red fir isnamed for its deeply furrowed red bark.

Posey Lake Campground
This campground is adjacent to Posey Lake, a small fishing lake. Posey Lake has a boat ramp for non-motorized boating and two docks. There are two hiking trails that start in the campground. Access to the Great Western Trail from the campground allows hiking, biking, and horse riding.

The campground climbs up a hillside above South Fork Creek among Spruce and Aspen trees. There are 8 sites. Fishing in area streams, mountain biking on forest roads. Potlid North Trailhead
This developed site is located in the northwest corner of the Ochoco National Forest and is the northern access point for Potlid Trail (#836), which wraps around the western side of Bull Mountain. The trailhead is located along Trout Creek and just off of Forest Service Road 2725.

Potosi Campground and Picnic Area
This is a nice campground located on the east side of the Tobacco Root Mountains with South Willow Creek running through the middle. There are 15 designated campsites, a picnic day-use area, vault toilets, and drinking water at this site. There are no garbage services, so pack it in and pack it out. We recommend trailer length does not exceed 22'.

There are 2 interpretive sites. One site is located on the Alamosa Canyon side of Stunner Pass, partway down from the top.
