The Bankston Camp is a very primitive camping experience northeast of the town of Williana, Louisiana. This camp is located just outside the borders of the Catahoula National Wildlife Management Preserve.
Banner Creek Campground
A nice campground along Highway 21 in the trees with a small creek running through. Campground has 5 campsites with picnic tables and fire rings with cooking grills. The campground amemities include a vault toilet. No drinking water is available and the campground is limited to trailers and motorhomes up to 32 feet long; there are no hookups within the campground.
Banner Ridge Trailhead
The Banner Ridge trailhead includes a restroom and visitor information. Fees are charged by the State in the winter, however the Forest Service operates it for free in summer.

Barber Flat Rental Cabin
The Barber Flat cabin site was established for administrative use by the Forest Service in 1923, and was used prior to that by the Barber Lumber Company. At the time, the Forest Service used a cabin already on-site as a guard station and then built a new one in 1927.
