Jackpine Lake Campsites

There are two primitive campsites located on the 63 acre Jackpine Lake. Jackpine has a reputation for good smallmouth. This is a good lake for smallmouth bass and bluegills. Jackpine Loop Campground is one of three shady campground loops in the Tipsaw Lake Recreation Area and includes 23 individual sites. Jacks Gulch Group Campground

This group facility is situated in a ponderosa pine forest and accommodates up to 100 people. There are 10 tent pads each 14 feet by 17 feet in size. There are two common cooking and eating sites each with four picnic tables, a charcoal grill and fire pit. There is also a covered picnic shelter and a bear locker. There are nine electrical outlets for RVs.

Jackson Creek is located one hour 40 minutes southeast of Chemult, Oregon. Jackson Falls

The bluffs and rock faces found at Jackson Falls offer excellent technical climbing surrounded by a beautifully scenic area of the Shawnee National Forest. Considered part of the general forest area the Jackson Falls has a vault toilet. Camping is free, but limited to a maximum of 14-days continuous stay. Jackson Flat Group Campground

This campground is set among groves of pine and fir trees at an elevation of 7,500-feet. These sites are for walk-in tent campers only. A short walk about 200 yards leads to five group tent areas, which accommodate 30-40 people each for a total capacity of 180 persons.

Jackson Meadow Reservoir

Activities in the Jackson Meadow Recreation Area include boating, fishing, swimming, camping, picnicking, hiking, group camping, mountain biking, equestrian camping, and viewing scenery. Miles of 4WD and ATV roads surround the recreation area. 

Jackson Mountain Trailhead

Jackson Mountain Trailhead is the beginning of Turkey Creek Trail which climbs above timberline at about 14 miles to meet the Continental Divide Trail at Piedra Pass.

Jackson Peak Trailhead

The Jackson Peak Trailhead includes visitor information, registration box and hitching rack. All trailheads have space for parking.
