Located along the Elkhorn Drive Scenic Byway, the McCully Forks Campground is set near a small stream in a forested setting. Popular activities include; visiting the Sumpter Valley Dredge State Park, day hikes, relaxing, visiting the historic town of Sumpter, and exploring along the byway.
McCully Trailhead
Located on the northeast side of the Eagle Cap Wilderness, the McCully Trailhead is a large facility for both stock users and hikers. Set in a warm open ponderosa pine forest, it has some great views of the Wallowa Valley. This trailhead provides access to McCully Creek Trail #1812 which head south into the wilderness.

The McCurry Reservoir trail is 1.8 miles long. It begins on Forest Trail #2160 and continues passed the Forest Boundary into the Grand Mesa National Forest. This is a rustic style 12' x 14' Pan-Abode log cabin that was constructed in 1967. There is trail access to Wolverine Creek and a 1930's Civilian Conservation Corp (CCC) 3-sided shelter. Mcdonald Lake Shelter
The McDonald Lake shelter is 3-sided shelter that was constructed in the 1930's by the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC). The shelter is on the edge of Wolverine Creek and provides great opportunities for wildlife observation and fishing. The shelter can be accessed by hiking about 1 mile on the McDonald Lake trail from Yes Bay.
Mcdonald Lake Trailhead
The McDonald Lake trail is 1.5 miles long. The trail is composed of rustic boardwalk and natural tread. It begins on saltwater at the Yes Bay Lodge and follows Wolverine Creek to the McDonald Lake cabin on Wolverine Island. The trail was built in 1922 and started at the original cannery site. The Yes Bay Lodge was constructed on the old cannery site in 1958.

McGee Creek Campground
This 28 unit campground provides an excellent "close-to-the-trailhead" location to camp as a jumping off point for adventures in the McGee Canyon area or as a pleasant sunny location for family camping. Each campsite has a shade pavilion as there are few trees here. The campground is 2 miles from the trailhead and 4 miles from Crowley Lake.

From this overlook you can see where the McGee Fire in1955, and the Rough Fire from 2015. These fires burned though this drainage and changed the landscape.
