Over 3 million acres of land located in 22 National Recreation Areas managed by the Forest Service is preserved for recreational activities like hiking, boating, fishing and swimming, while highlighting natural, cultural and scenic resources. Visitors who choose to recreate on these public lands find 164,000 miles of trails, over 30,000 recreation sites, over 5,000 miles of streams and 3 million acres of lakes, 127 alpine ski areas, 338,000 heritage sites, and specially designated sites that include 37 million acres of designated wilderness areas, 130 wild and scenic rivers, 15 monuments, and one preserve. Red Bluff Camp

Visitors to Red Bluff Camp can expect a primitive camp inside the National Red Dirt Wildlife Management Preserve. This camping area is a walk-in tent type camping facility which users must hike in 1/4 mile from the parking area to get to the Kisatchie Bayou shore. General camping, no water available, vault toilets, and trash receptacles.

Red Bluff Recreation Area

The sparkling Sacramento River bisects 488 acres of riparian forest, flowering grasslands, wetlands, and oak woodlands providing very diverse nature viewing experiences. Visitor facilities are closed.

Red Box Picnic Area

Amenities: 6 picnic sites with a designated picnic table and BBQ grills. Vault toilets. Trash receptacles. No piped water available. (Please bring enough water for cooking, cleaning and drinking.) Red Bridge Campground

Red Bridge Campground is one of two free campgrounds on the Mt. Hough Ranger District. The campground is managed by the Forest Service. Red Bridge Campground

Red Bridge is a beautiful little campground, nestled amongst the shrubs and trees along the south fork Stillaguamish River, offering many sites with a lot of privacy. A river bar, close by, offers opportunities for riverside activities.

Red Bridge Fishing Access

Red Bridge Fishing Access is a day-use area that provides a place to fish Georgetown Lake. This site is open year round and has a day-use picnic area, toilet, and a boat launch area.

The Red Canyon Trail #118 begins on Forest Service Road #549, State Draw Road, and ends at Forest Service Road #540, Old Highway 90. The trail mostly follows an old two track for the first 1.7 miles through a dense forest of spruce/fir, open meadows and aspen groves. Red Canyon Campground is a quaint retreat nestled in a grassy meadow high above the breathtaking Flaming Gorge Reservoir, accessible via Red Canyon Road. This cozy campground offers a peaceful escape, with visitors enjoying activities such as hiking along the scenic Red Canyon Rim Trail and canoeing or fishing at nearby Greens Lake.

Red Canyon/spruce Spring Trailhead

Trailhead is temporarily closed due to hazardous conditions that exist within Upper Red Canyon Campground. The trails are still accessible via Lower Red Campground loop, Ox Canyon trailhead and via the Crest Trail. 

Red Cap River Access

This access consists of a maintained foot trail that leads to the Klamath River. Directly across the river is the confluence of Red Cap Creek and the Klamath River. This is a very popular spot for Salmon and Steelhead anglers. Trail length is 0.3 miles.

Red Cloud Campground

LOWER CAMPGROUND CLOSED FOR WINTER.  UPPER CAMPGROUND AND TRAILHEAD REMAIN OPEN THROUGHOUT THE WINTER. Small (5 sites) quiet and primitive camp in a Ponderosa forest at 7600´elevation. Located near an old mining district, the campground gets heavy use in fall hunting seasons, less at other times.
