Upper Oso OHV Staging Area-Buckhorn-Camuesa OHV Rd

10/1/2024 - The Upper Oso OHV Staging Area- Buckhorn Camuesa Rd is only open to non-motorized vehciles at this time. Closed to motorized vehicles by Forest Order 5-07-54-24-19. Deer Group Campground

This group campground is located off the Highway 18, Big Bear Blvd. Vehicle access is on a Forest Service road on the south side of Big Bear Lake. There is no potable water available; Please bring your own drinking water. This facility is "Pack it in. Pack it out." Amenities include 5 picnic tables, 1 double pedestal grill, 1 group fire ring and vault toilets. All pets must be leashed.

Fisherman's Group Campground

This group campground consists of 4 separate group sites. Access is by hiking in a 2.5 mile trail to the campground. There is no vehicle access to the campground. Tent camping for groups up to 8 people per site. Designated parking area capacity - 8 vehicles, display reservation confirmation on vehicle windshield at the designated parking area. Gray's Peak Group Campground is located 45 miles outside San Bernardino, at an elevation of 7,132 feet. There are also, hiking and biking opportunities nearby. Butler Peak Fire Lookout is close by. Green Spot Equestrian Group

This equestrian group campground is located at the east end of Big Bear Valley, at an elevation of 7,224 feet. There are five horse corrals. This equestrian group campground is located in the Heart Bar Campground Complex just outside the Sand to Snow National Monument. There are 46 corrals and 11 wood tables. Shady Cove Group Campground

This group campground is located near the National Children's Forest Visitor Center and the Keller Peak Fire Lookout. The campground is easily accessible, just off a paved road, Forest Service Road 1N96. It has forested tent campsites. Tent Peg Group Campground

This group campground is located northwest of Green Valley Family Campground on Forest Service 3N16 road. The maximum occupancy is 30 people with a 5 car maximum. Popular activities include OHV riding, hiking, and bicycling.

Baylis Park Picnic Area

Baylis Park was named after Dr. John Baylis, who was instrumental in getting the Rim of the World Highway built (Highway 18). Baylis is a popular stop for visitors traveling up into the mountains. Strawberry Peak Fire Lookout Tower is nearby. Site is accessible.

Haymaker Dispersed Camping Area

Haymaker Park Trail (604) is a short trail that provides access to a system of trails. Nevada Creek Trail 601, Haymaker Canyon Trail 602, and Daisy-Mountain-High Trail 603 all join Haymaker Park. Crystal Lake Campground

Crystal Lake Campground is in the shadow of Mt. Harlow at an elevation of 5,700 feet. The 28 campsites are large and widely spaced, and recent removal of hazard trees has left each camp site with expansive views of the surrounding mountains. Dry Wolf Campground

Located in the heart of Charlie Russell Country, Dry Wolf Campground’s 25 campsites are along Dry Wolf Creek. Dry Wolf Campground is usually open from June through the middle of fall. Judith Station Day Use Area is located in the Helena-Lewis and Clark National Forest, adjacent to the historic Judith Guard Station.   Amenities include nearby fishing access, drinking water, and a restroom. Hay Canyon Campground

Hay Canyon Campground is located in the Lewis and Clark National Forest. Thain Creek Campground

Thain Creek Campground is the only campground in the Highwood Mountains. One of the 19 campsites can accommodate a maximum trailer length of 40 feet.
