Visitors who choose to recreate on these public lands find 164,000 miles of trails, over 30,000 recreation sites, over 5,000 miles of streams and 3 million acres of lakes, 127 alpine ski areas, 338,000 heritage sites, and specially designated sites that include 37 million acres of designated wilderness areas, 130 wild and scenic rivers, 15 monuments, and one preserve. Pepperdine Trailhead

Located on the northern most boundary of the South Warner Wilderness, Pepperdine Trailhead serves hikers and horsemen for short day trips and overnight excursions into and through the wilderness via the Summit Trail.  The Summit Trail also connects with Owl Creek Trail which takes one along the eastern slopes of the Warners where Summit Trail stays mostly along the western slopes.

Peppersauce Campground

With its picturesque vegetation and dramatic setting at the foot of Mt. Lemmon, Peppersauce Campground is an outstanding area for enjoying an afternoon picnic or a weekend campout. Campsites at Peppersauce are spread throughout a creekside oasis of enormous Arizona sycamores and Arizona walnut trees that cast deep shade in summer and a touch of color in autumn. Perception Park Group Sites

Perception Park also has three group reservation units.  They will all accommodate 50 people at one time and 20 vehicles.  Reservations can be made by calling 1-877-444-NRRS (6777) or Recreation.gov and search for Perception Park in Utah. Perception Park Picnic Area

The Picnic Sites are located just inside Perception Park campground gate, across from the Campground Host site. You park in the multi-vehicle parking area and walk to the tables. Perception Park is a higher standard campground with asphalt roads and a paved nature trail along the adjacent South Fork of the Ogden River.

Perch Lake Campground

Perch Lake Campground is located 10 miles south of Sidnaw on the Kenton Ranger District.  This one loop campground provides 20 drive-in campsites that can accommodate tents, trailers and motor homes. Perch Lake Recreation Area

Peregrine Point

Perham Creek TH #1949

This trail was made possible by Pitkin County Open Space Board. They purchased the land for the parking area all the way to the National Forest boundary. Periodic Spring Picnic Site

Two picnic tables and a vault toilet along Swift Creek offer a rest for people after their trip to watch Periodic Spring pulse. An easy 3/4 mile hike brings visitors to see one of only 3 cold-water 'geysers' in the world. The spring turns on and off in 18-minute cycles. Interpretation of this phenomenon is also provided.

Perkins Lake

Access to Perkins Lake is from Alturas Lake Road. Motorized boats and personal water craft are not allowed on Perkins Lake.

Perkinsville Road

Perfect for history buffs, this 47-mile drive begins in Williams, AZ (Kaibab National Forest) in ponderosa pines, and winds down into the Prescott National Forest passing Perkinsville Ranch and ends in historic Jerome, AZ. Perry South Boating Site

A boat launch and docks with additional moorage provide access to the many opportunities Lake Billy Chinook has to offer.

Perry South Campground

Perry South Campground is located on the Metolius Arm of Lake Billy Chinook. To see a map of this campground click here. There is a boat launch area within this campground.

Perseverance Trailhead

The Perseverance Trail is 2.4 miles long. The first 1/2 mile winds gently and is composed of both natural tread and boardwalk. Rain, snow and ice make the wooden boards extremely slippery; take caution when hiking under those conditions. Persido Bar River Access

Located approximately 19 miles upstream from Orleans, this access offers a bathroom, information kiosk, and plenty of river access for bank fishing. The boat launch is large enough to launch drift and jet boats and is a very popular access for rafters floating down from Happy Camp. Peru Creek Road TH #260

This road offers amazing scenery, gorgeous hiking trails and access to other spur roads, all without being very difficult for most SUVs to access. Peru Peak Wilderness

Resting just east of Big Branch Wilderness, Peru Peak Wilderness takes its name from the highest mountain in the area. Pete Creek Campground

The Pete Creek Campground is located northwest of Troy on Yaak Hwy 508. The campground has 13 sites, including one host site, with tables and fire rings. Campground roads and parking spurs are gravel. Amenities include potable water, vault toilets and access to the Yaak River.

Pete Creek Day Use Area

Pete Creek Day Use Area is a small dispersed site. Facilities include a single fire ring and a wooden outhouse.
