Sparks Lake Trailhead

This trail leaves from Sparks Lake Day Use Area near Sparks Lake to the Metolius-Windigo Horse Trail.  It crosses rolling and forested lava terrain.

Sparrow Rapids Campground

Sparrow Rapids Campground provides visitors with an opportunity to be near a wilderness and a Wild/Recreation River at the same time. This campgrouind has six campsites that can accomodate tents, trailers, and motor homes. It is a limited service campground.

Spearfish Quarry Trailhead

The Forest Service designed the Spearfish Quarry Trailhead for beginners to practice their motorized riding skills. Spice Run Wilderness

The 6,030 acre Spice Run Wilderness is located south of Calvin Price State Forest. The area is about 2 miles in length and 3.5 miles wide and is found within portions of the Alvon, Anthony, Denmar, and Droop USGS quadrangle maps. Spicer Sand Flat Trailhead (at Spicer Reservoir)

Trailhead for the Spicer Sand Flat Trail (18E05); this trail runs from Spicer Reservoir to Sand Flat Campground. Trail access is open, but the trail may have downed trees and other hazard to be aware of. 

Spicer SNO-PARK

Spicer SNO-PARK features snowmobile trails to Union and Utica Reservoirs, Summit and Elephant Rock Lakes, and the Spicer Reservoir Power House. Spider Lake Boat Area

A concrete boat ramp provides access to the 1,349 acre Spider Lake. Spider Lake is west of Itasca County Highway 49. Northern pike, perch and other panfish are found in this lake.

Provides access to: Spider Lake Loop Trail #879 Enter trail from either the North or South end of lake. Note: The trail and lake might not be signed, look for Spider Lake below the Forest Road 23 on the east side of the road.
