Over 3 million acres of land located in 22 National Recreation Areas managed by the Forest Service is preserved for recreational activities like hiking, boating, fishing and swimming, while highlighting natural, cultural and scenic resources. Visitors who choose to recreate on these public lands find 164,000 miles of trails, over 30,000 recreation sites, over 5,000 miles of streams and 3 million acres of lakes, 127 alpine ski areas, 338,000 heritage sites, and specially designated sites that include 37 million acres of designated wilderness areas, 130 wild and scenic rivers, 15 monuments, and one preserve. Evergreen Picnic Site

Located just outside the Evergreen Campground this picnic site is available on a first come first serve basis. It contains tables, benches a large group fire ring and a vault restroom. Parking is available for no more than 8 cars at a time.

Ewing Point Campsite

There is a beautiful walk-in campsite located on Ewing Point on the north side of the 132 acre McKeever Lake. The grassy site is 50 feet by 75 feet, surrounded by cedar and hemlock. F. Blue Heron River Access

Fairfield Ranger Station

The Fairfield Ranger Station is located at 102 1st Street East in Fairfield, ID.  The Station is the Administration Site for the Fairfield Ranger District, including Soldier Mountain Ski Area and 12 developed campgrounds.

Fairforest Rifle Range

Fairforest Rifle Range is ADA accessible, with paved paths to targets and accommodates targets at 25 and 100-yard intervals. Annual and daily passes for using the Enoree rifle ranges are available on recreation.gov.   

Fairholme Olympic Discovery Trailhead

Provides access to: Olympic Discovery Trail on the west side of Crescent Lake.

Fairley Bridge Landing

Site serves as the end point for both the Black Creek float trip and hiking trail. Restroom closed.

Fairview #426

The Fairview trail is 2.3 miles long. It begins at Forest Trail 7427 and ends at Forest Road 770. The trail is open for the following uses: Hiking, Mountain Biking, Horseback Riding, and Motorcycle Trail Riding

Fairview Campground

Fairview Camp is drive-through loop off State Highway 207 offering five campsites and an accessible vault toilet. Two campsites directly across from the toilet are fully accessible. A free-flowing water fountain provides potable water from May to October. Fairview Lakes

These are 103 and 20.8 acre lakes located 1.2 miles south of Beaver Dam Reservoir.  They are on private land and the Department of Wildlife Resources of Utah (DWR) stocks these lakes with Rainbow Trout.

Fairview Lakes Observation Site

Fairview Ranger Station

This remote cabin was built in 1908 and served as an administration building for the Wolf Creek District of the Blackfeet National Forest. The Blackfeet NF was dissolved in 1935 becoming part of the Kootenai & Flathead NF. Fairview was used as a remote work station until 1980. Fairview Trailhead

This area is situated on Arkansas 7 which is noted as one of the 10 most scenic highways in the United States. Gorgeous fall colors can be seen in October and November. Dogwood and Redbud blossoms are abundant in early spring. Trailhead access to the Ozark Highlands Trail.

Fairy Lake Campground

A campground in the Bridger Mountains on the Bozeman District.      

Fairy Lake Trailhead

Trailhead providing access to an easy loop trail around Fairy Lake or a start to numerous day hiking opportunities accessing the central part of the Bridger Range.  Trail provides access to the Bridger Foothills National Recreation Trail and Hardscrabble and Sacagawea Peaks (highest in Bridger Range).  Proper hiking essentials should always be taken.
